BIOGRAPHY
Jeromy Nuuk (formerly Zwick) is a Swiss–Australian contemporary circus artist. He began his circus training at the age of 11 at CircusWA in Fremantle, Western Australia, where an early interest quickly grew into a long term artistic pursuit.
In 2014, he was accepted into École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Brussels, one of Europe’s leading contemporary circus schools. Over three years of intensive study, Jeromy specialised in juggling, physical theatre and movement based performance, developing a practice that blends technical precision with expressive, character-driven work.
He is the co-founder and co-artistic director of contemporary circus company Hands Some Feet, which he runs alongside his wife and creative partner, Liisa Nuuk. In addition to his work with Hands Some Feet, Jeromy has toured with Belgian contemporary circus companies 15Feet6 and Les Argonautes.
Press Highlights
“It’s not your average juggling act. Jeromy contorts his body to catch the balls at all angles, in various joints and even on his face.”
“juggling comes as naturally to him as breathing.”
“Jeromy is undeniably a skilled ball juggler, but even more interesting is his expressive body language.”
“His strong stage presence keeps the audience attention, gracefully building up difficulty with style – juggling with circus style dance that is totally unpredictable.”
“He wows with dexterous juggling and full-body movement as he travels with a dancer’s grace around the set in increasingly complex and numerous configurations of wooden balls and other objects.”
““...delighting the audience with his emu-inspired act. Juggling his “eggs” blind at times, he kept the audience enthralled with his ever-unfolding, cartoon-like antics.””
